“The Great Room at Elm Creative Arts is a unique space in Milwaukee Public Schools. The outdated lighting made it impractical as a performance space, and it was underutilized for years. Lights on or lights off were our only options - not exactly a selling point! Since the lighting system and instrument upgrade, we have been able to host multiple teacher professional development sessions, a collaborative theatre production, a winter concert and black history show for the school, rehearsals for the all-district Biennial Music Festival, and open the room to community groups for their own events and performances. The new system is sophisticated, but also user-friendly. Thanks to the team at Avenue Systems, we have access to professional quality lighting that is worthy of the talented students and young artists who perform here!”
