Bridge Church

Oconomowoc, WI

Avenue Systems partnered with a growing Waukesha-area church as they expanded into Oconomowoc. From the very first conversation, it was clear this wasn’t just about adding another building. It was about creating room for growth and staying connected as one church across multiple locations.

The organization’s main campus in Waukesha had been growing steadily. They had many families traveling from the Lake Country area, and leadership saw an opportunity to serve that community more intentionally. The new Oconomowoc facility would make it easier for people in that area to attend while remaining fully integrated with the larger congregation. Their goal was simple but significant: operate as one large connected body, even across different physical spaces.

In regard to AV systems, a key priority was designing a system that volunteers could confidently run, to ensure that quality from campus to campus was consistent. This church depends heavily on volunteers to support weekend services, and the technology needed to feel approachable and reliable. It had to work well and work simply.

Avenue Systems designed an AV solution centered around technologies already deployed at their primary broadcast campus. An Allen & Heath SQ-7 audio console, selected for its flexibility, ease of use, and intuitive layout was an easy selection for the church. System control and management were handled through a QSC Q-SYS Core, allowing for streamlined control of all AV systems and long-term scalability.

Audio quality was also a major focus. The team integrated a thoughtfully engineered PA system that delivered clarity and warmth throughout the room. Meyer Sound was selected for the speaker system as audio fidelity and ease of use was a top priority for the church.

Lighting was designed to be flexible yet manageable. A Chroma-Q Vista system provided creative control while remaining volunteer-friendly. Key lighting and stage lighting elements were implemented to support both in-person worship and campus-to-campus connectivity. In the commons areas, Panasonic commercial displays enhanced communication and helped create a cohesive guest experience from the moment someone walked in.

When the doors opened, the systems were fully functional and ready to support services immediately. Leadership and volunteers alike expressed how relieved they felt stepping into a space that simply worked. There was confidence in the room—not just in the technology, but in what it enabled.

What made this partnership especially meaningful was that it brought together two church locations working toward a shared purpose; growing together. At its core, this project was about more than equipment. It was about supporting growth, strengthening community, and building systems that excellently serve the bigger mission every single week.
