Terry Brannan’s journey to the top of the rigging world reads like a cross-country adventure. In the late ’90s and 2000s, he traversed the US and Canada, free-climbing structures not just for thrills, but to master the art of safety at dizzying heights. It was on one such adventure—while working at a concert venue—that Terry met his first Entertainment Rigger. From that moment, he was “hooked,” and there was no turning back.

Since joining Avenue in December 2015, Terry has brought that same mix of daring, skill, and meticulous attention to detail to every rigging system he designs and installs. Whether it’s construction excellence or integrated design, Terry ensures every project meets the highest standards—because in his world, “good enough” simply isn’t.

Mornings for Terry are sacred: a fresh shave, devotion, and CHILLTRAX setting the tone for a productive day. By the time he hits the shop or site, he’s primed, focused, and ready to tackle any challenge. 

Beyond the technical side, Terry treasures the relationships built along the way. One highlight? Breaking the ice and forming a lasting friendship with Doug Martelon from Duke University and Summit Church—a reminder that the best connections often happen off the plansheet.

Based in Wisconsin, he shares life with his supportive spouse and two kids.
