Calvary Church
Jupiter, fl
When Calvary Church decided to expand into a new facility, it wasn’t just about adding square footage—it was about creating a space that could grow with their ministry for years to come. Having outgrown their previous building and feeling the limitations of outdated technology, the church envisioned a modern, scalable system that could serve both their current congregation and the generations to follow.
The partnership between Calvary Church and Avenue Systems was built on a long-standing relationship rooted in trust and collaboration. Over the years, Avenue Systems’ team had developed a deep understanding of Calvary’s culture, priorities, and technical goals, making them a natural choice when the time came for this new project. As Avenue Systems’ relationship manager, Terry Rhodes, described it, it was a “relational connection” that made the process feel like working with family—open, honest, and aligned in purpose.
From the start, Calvary’s leadership and technical team knew what they wanted: a space that supported ease of use, volunteer-friendly operation, automation, and flexibility. Their goal was not only to modernize but also to “plan for future growth from the get-go.” The Avenue Systems’ team put together a formula with creative problem-solving to deliver excellence without compromise on budget.

Much of the detailed work was done alongside Calvary’s technical director, whose “project manager mindset” and meticulous attention to detail helped shape the final design. His thoughtful questions and drive to fully understand every element ensured that the system would meet the church’s long-term needs.
Avenue Systems designed a robust AV solution that combined powerful performance with elegant simplicity. The audio system featured an Allen & Heath Avantis console, Martin Audio CDD series speakers, and Linea Research amplification, all managed through a QSYS processor for flexible control.
The “wow factor” was delivered via immersive video. Calvary’s new setup included a completely immersive environmental projection set up—creating a visually engaging experience through five screens that could operate as one massive surface or as distinct visual zones.
AV system control was an essential part of the project. Our team worked closely with theirs to determine detailed automation and control requirements. The result was a fully integrated system that not only met Calvary’s immediate goals but also allowed them to scale easily across their campus in the future. Automation streamlined their Sunday operations, enabling volunteers to manage complex systems effortlessly while maintaining consistency week to week.
Throughout the process our team was there, guiding the Calvary Church team through each phase with patience, clarity, and care. Our hands-on support and transparent communication built trust and made the entire process smooth and collaborative, leading to a seamless installation and an enthusiastic embrace of the new space by the church.
When the project concluded, the emotions were clear—relief, excitement, and gratitude. There were “a lot of high fives,” as Terry Rhodes recalled, and a collective feeling of being “wowed” by what they had accomplished together. The new systems weren’t excessive—they were purposeful, intuitive, and powerful, giving Calvary Church the tools they needed to serve their growing community and share their message with excellence.
Calvary Church’s partnership with Avenue Systems stands as a testament to thoughtful design, relational collaboration, and technology that empowers mission—today and well into the future.
